JJ Rebreather Diver
Foundational closed-circuit rebreather diving
This certification teaches foundational closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) diving skills. Students apply techniques from the Extended Basic Skills course to real-world rebreather scenarios, learning to plan and execute dives within no-decompression limits with air as diluent gas.
Duration
Min 12 hours in-water training, at least 10 hours theory, at least 4 dives to 20-30m depth
Prerequisites
Minimum age 20, excellent health status, completion of Extended Basic Skills or equivalent, proof of 200+ dives across various environments, demonstrated advanced buoyancy and maneuvering skills
Learning Objectives
- Configure and operate CCR equipment per SwedTech standards
- Plan non-decompression dives to 30m using air diluent
- Manage bailout stage cylinders (air/Nitrox)
- Troubleshoot equipment and gas-loss problems
- Execute multiple swimming techniques and maintain buoyancy control
- Collaborate effectively in balanced dive teams
Course Limits & Requirements
- Maximum PO2: 1.4 bar (recommended 1.2 bar), 1.6 bar at 6 meters
- Maximum depth: 30 meters
- Maximum END: 30 meters
- Maximum 3 students per instructor
